With all this Britney crap commentary taking up all of the available celebrity press space available, everyone missed the fantastic performance by Liza Minelli at the U. S. Open on Sunday. Liza sang “God Bless America” accompanied only by a piano and a microphone. One can be sure she was not lip-synching and she did a great job. I love how she changed tempo mid-song and turned the tune into a Cabaret-style number. Liza has true talent and she’s a pro!
