Here’s a warm cocktail recipe that’s perfect for sipping during
the holidays:
Hot Buttered Bourbon
Serves 1
- 1 cup spiced apple cider (such as Big B’s Organic Spiced Apple Cider)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon packed brown sugar (use either light or dark –
your preference) - 1 lemon wedge
- 1 1/2 oz. bourbon (or more to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon unsalted butter (or more to taste)
Combine the cider, water and brown sugar in a small saucepan and gently warm on the stove to just simmering – make sure the sugar has dissolved. Pour cider mixture into a mug, squeeze in the lemon wedge and add the bourbon and butter. Garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired. Stir gently and enjoy.
