Literally, these Canadian Canada geese crap on everything they can. In fact, they produce a pound of crap per bird every day! I went to the historic Riverside Cemetery in Denver yesterday afternoon to take a few photos and there was goose poop on every square inch of the ground. This snapshot shows five of the hundreds of geese living in the cemetery.The geese are supposed to migrate back to Canada, but they don’t. They like it here too much .
PS. Some reader rudely informed me I was calling the geese by the wrong name (Canada – not Canadian). I don’t mind being corrected, but this person was just rude and her comment included name-calling. She’s been marked as a comment spammer, so I won’t be hearing from her again.
It’s so sad that the cemetery has become overrun by notoriously aggressive Canada geese. There are relatively inexpensive ways to combat this problem. Hopefully someone will approach them with a solution.
I agree. But it seems this historical cemetery doesn’t have much funding. I actually like the geese — they’re pretty and don’t really bother anything. It’s just too bad they poop so much.
