I first saw (and heard) Monica Mancini on the PBS special “We All Love Ella”, which was broadcast on New Year’s Eve 2007. To put it bluntly, I was blown away by her vocal talents and stage presence. Yes, she is descended from Henry Mancini (her father) and she surely makes him proud! Monica Mancini is pure elegance and talent. It is clear she has practiced, practiced, practiced — and if she hasn’t played Carnegie Hall yet, well, she should.
