Cancelled my subscription and deleted my profile on match.com. What a useless online dating service – no good matches, no dates, no meetings, nothing. Ninety-nine percent of the people in the profiles looked like they were straight out of the looney bin and the free review of my profile was simply cut-and-paste boilerplate text, probably provided by someone on Mechanical Turk. Of course, I didn’t get any money back from the six-month membership I purchased, but I didn’t expect to anyway. Once they have your money, they are not giving it back.
I’ve now decided to focus on one online dating app: OkCupid. I’m finding it is commonplace for people create profiles on all of the online services, so I’m using the one I like best.
